About Us

 

 Charles L. Matthews Sr. was born April 14/1953 in Mobile, AL. He has a strong mandate to teach the Gospel of the Kingdom with simplicity. Apostle Matthews and Embassy Church International were released into Apostolic Ministry Sept. 19/2008 by His Spiritual Father Ron Hunter of Spoken Word Outreach Ministries, Lobeco, SC. 

Apostle Matthews attends Beacon Institute of Ministry and has an Earned Master of Divinity and a Honorary Doctorate of Divinity both from Oakdale Bible College where he is an instructor. He and his wife Pastor Carrie have five children and ten grandchildren.

He is the founder of Open Door Church Ministries, Open Door Daycare, C.L. Matthews Ministries, ECI Institute of Kingdom Studies and Embassy Church International.
